This study investigates the tribological properties and microstructural characteristics of modified composite materials designed for operation under abrasive wear conditions. The composite materials were prepared using an ED-20 epoxy resin base, modified with bismaleimide, furfuryl alcohol, AKT-10 grade Angren kaolin, and PEK modifiers. Select samples were also reinforced with glass and silk fibers. The samples were prepared under laboratory conditions, undergoing vacuum degassing and thermal curing processes. Tribological tests were conducted using the pin-on-disk method in accordance with ASTM G99 and ISO 7148 standards. Throughout the study, the coefficient of friction, mass loss, and specific wear rate were determined to evaluate the materials' resistance to abrasive wear.
