Abstract

Nowadays, the use of various polymer-based composite materials is increasing in the modern construction industry. In particular, polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-based floor covering materials are widely used in the construction of construction objects for various purposes due to their ease of use at the construction site, production in various sizes and designs, and high performance properties. This research paper presents the results of research on optimizing the raw material composition of PVC linoleum based on mineral fillers and improving its physicomechanical properties. During the research, the mechanisms of interaction of local mineral raw materials such as kaolin, bentonite, and calcium carbonate with the polymer matrix, their structure-forming properties, and the effect on the performance indicators of the finished material were analyzed. The optimal proportions of mineral fillers in the composition of the composition intended for linoleum were determined, and the possibility of developing a new economically efficient, abrasion-resistant, and thermally stable composite composition was substantiated.
