Abstract

The article examines the issues of designing culverts in railway embankments located in seismic regions, taking into account the operational characteristics of the foundations of these structures and the terrain conditions. Based on the obtained and briefly described experimental methodologies, recommendations are provided for selecting structural designs suitable for seismic areas. In addition, new structural solutions combining reliability under seismic loading with reduced consumption of construction materials have been developed. The proposed theoretical solutions are supported and refined through experimental investigations.
