Abstract

This study provides details on the development of a process for the preparation of fly ash based
geopolymer concrete. One of the components of geopolymer is the starting material. Starting materials are
materials containing silicon and aluminium, such as fly ash, ground granular blast furnace slag, silica,
metakaolin, rice husk ash and others. Many studies use fly ash as the starting material. Fly ash serves as
an artificial pozzolan. The aim of the study is to determine the main parameters affecting the properties of
fly ash based mix and geopolymer concrete.
