Abstract

The effect of ground silica gel on hydration processes, phase composition, and the properties of cement stone as a matrix for non-autoclaved foam concrete was studied. It was established that modification of the binder at a reduced water-cement ratio increases strength by up to 25–30% and improves the structural uniformity of the material. According to the results of X-ray phase analysis (XRD), a decrease in the content of portlandite Ca(OH)₂ and an increase in the proportion of the amorphous C–S–H phase were identified, indicating the development of pozzolanic reactions. The obtained data confirm the effectiveness of using ground silica gel for the targeted regulation of the structure and properties of cement stone.
