Abstract

The paper presents a theoretical analysis of the integrated operation of structural health monitoring (SHM) subsystems applied to transport and civil infrastructure facilities. Bridge structures are identified as the primary field of SHM implementation due to their complex operational conditions. The study considers instrumental monitoring (stress–strain condition, accelerations, inclinations) and geodetic monitoring (GNSS-based displacement control). Advantages, limitations, and practical applications of each subsystem are discussed. It is demonstrated that the integrated use of monitoring subsystems significantly improves measurement accuracy and enhances reliability of structural condition assessment and forecasting.
